Mr. Gao Xinping recalled that when he first came to the lake, Xiamen's development was still in its infancy, and he was particularly impressed during that period. "At that time, the Huli Avenue near the factory had not been built, and the road only reached the section of the current Xiamen-China Company. When the factory was still under construction, I stayed in the Overseas Chinese Hotel, and it was very difficult to get to the factory every time." Because of the inconvenient traffic at that time, every time he went to the factory, he had to spend a lot of effort to get to the bus. Sometimes he couldn't wait, so he simply rode his bicycle.

No matter where he invests, Mr. Gao Xinping takes the factory as his home, and the only exception is Xiamen. No matter Mr. Gao Xinping's enterprises are all over the country, he always regards Xiamen as his home. Maybe this is his nostalgia for Xiamen.

Many years ago, he bought a house in Xiamen and settled his home here. Even the company's marketing headquarters has been located in Xiamen. Mr. Gao Xinping said, "I always have to buy a home, because I also went from Fujian in the early days, and my ancestral home is Anxi. The only house I bought in the mainland is in Xiamen, and I usually live in more factories."

In the spring of the following year, Li Ding passed through Singapore when he went abroad. During this period, Mr. Gao Xinping once again proposed to Li Ding that there are many Taiwanese businessmen in Xiamen and a Taiwanese businessmen association needs to be set up so as to better receive Taiwanese businessmen coming to Xiamen and create a platform for investment promotion in Xiamen. Li Ding affirmed their opinions again.

"At that time, the municipal government took the lead to establish the Taiwan Business Association, which was the first proposal in the country. However, due to the influence of some factors, the Taiwan Business Association in Xiamen was not formally established until 1992."

Speaking of being elected as the founding president, Mr. Gao Xinping still remembers it vividly. "Long before that, when the Xinglin Taiwanese Investment Zone was established, they elected a Taiwanese businessman to compete with me. After that, I was among the 13 preparers., Won by 7 to 6 votes." Although the first election for president was particularly fierce, under the advocacy of Mr. Gao Xinping, the atmosphere of Xiamen Taiwan Business Association was very harmonious.

He took the lead in organizing many activities to attract Taiwanese businessmen to invest in Xiamen and build a platform. Holding the donation certificate of honor sent by the Municipal Red Cross, Mr. Gao Xinping felt a little emotional. He said that since he started his business in Xiamen, he has been doing business in the mainland for more than 20 years. While the benefits of the company have been rewarded, he has spontaneously donated to the Red Cross every year, and the amount of donations has increased year by year. When the company held the 15th anniversary celebration, he did not make a big deal, but donated all the 600000 yuan he saved to public welfare undertakings. He organized the establishment of charitable foundations to distribute grants, disaster relief, care for vulnerable and socially unfortunate groups, and set up grants for Sande children to help countless people. It has donated money to build a friendly medical service center in Fujian, Xiamen, Singapore, and donated 400000 yuan to Xiamen 120 emergency center for the purchase of medical equipment.
