, Mr. Gao Xinping came from Taiwan and developed in Singapore in 1979 and stationed in mainland China for a long time after 1985.

In China, he is the president of the Association of Taiwanese Investment Enterprises in Xiamen, Nantong and Longyan. In Singapore, he is an Honorary Director of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Standing Committee of the Anxi Guild of Singapore and a member of the Kampong U. S. Citizens Advisory Committee.

But he doesn't seem to be troubled by identity. "If you want to say that I am a Taiwanese businessman, I am a Taiwanese businessman. I am registered as a Singaporean investment in China."

Mr Kao became a Singapore citizen in 1987 and his children grew up, studied and completed their national service in Singapore. He said that he applied to become a Singapore citizen because of Singapore's political stability and law-abiding people. When asked about the differences in doing business among businessmen from Taiwan, Singapore and mainland China, Mr. Gao Xinping said that Taiwan businessmen have better experience in industry and are willing to work hard and work hard. Singaporean businessmen are more conservative and law-abiding and think more. Businessmen in mainland China are also very hard-working, but some are not well-behaved.

What type does he belong to? He said that he is a hard-working and law-abiding type.

He advocates the enterprise spirit of "only if you love to fight can you win, and if you win, you have to fight. He said that if you win in business, you must continue, otherwise you will lose if you are too proud.

As for the more conservative statement of Singaporean businessmen, he said that more consideration has advantages and disadvantages. "Any investment has risks. It is worth doing as long as the advantages outweigh the disadvantages."

Sande paid a special dividend after cashing out of the cement business, and although the total payout was high, the company's share price continued to be lower than its net assets and its stock liquidity was low, which became a topic of discussion at the shareholders' meeting at that time. Gao Xinping, chairman of the company, said that the company's business department is in China, and the management is busy with business development and neglects publicity, resulting in low stock price and liquidity. He pointed out at the shareholders' meeting, "The company has paid dividends every year since its listing, and there is only a question of how much. I can guarantee that I will continue to pay dividends as long as I am still (the company)."

At the meeting, some shareholders suggested that the company buy back shares to support the share price, but others believed that the company's share buyback would further reduce the amount of shares in circulation.

In an interview, he said that he does not want the stock price to rise and fall, but wants investors to make long-term investments. As for the low liquidity of the stock, he said, "many people bought it and didn't sell it". He will continue to buy back shares to "maintain a reasonable share price".

Although the company has a lot of cash, Mr. Gao Xinping said he would not delisting the company. He said that when he took the company public in 1991, he hoped that the business he founded would survive for a long time. "Many people say that it is difficult for a Chinese family business to last long. It should take longer for the company to become a public stock after listing".

Mr. Gao Xinping's wife, Ms. Pan Jinfeng, is in charge of financial and administrative affairs in the company, while his two sons, Quan Zhi and Quan Zhuang, are also in charge of the company's business in China. The family worked hard for the company together and worked together.

Mr. Gao Xinping, who was 68 years old at that time, did he have any plans to retire? He smiled and said, "Retirement is very difficult, and Huang Zuyao (chairman of UOB) does not retire either. Frankly speaking, he just takes a back seat, and my children become managing director (managing director), and I slowly give them to do it. But the important thing is that we always have to make the final decision."

For small shareholders, this may be a reassurance. At the very least, they can ensure that they continue to receive the dividends paid by the company each year.
